What is Bedding?

Bedding is a set of sheets/blankets/linens that often consists of a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, a blanket or quilt (or comforter or duvet), and pillow cases.

In addition to keeping you covered and warm, bedding helps to protect your mattress and pillows, and also offers an easier way for you to keep them clean.

It can also make your bed and pillows more comfortable by adding extra padding and a cleaner, fresher surface upon which to sleep and lay your head.

Sheet sets can come in many different thread counts, starting anywhere around 300 and going up to around 1000. The higher the thread count, the more rich and thick the sheets will feel.

As you increase the thread count, you also increase the quality of the bedding, but you also typically increase the price. Most often, the cost of a bedding set is higher if the thread count is more. However, a higher thread count will also last you longer, and feel better to the touch, so it is often a worthwhile tradeoff.

Bedding sets come in different colors and different sizes. You can also get different designs on your bedding, such as lines of color or patterns that make shapes. You can even get themed bedding!

Before buying new bedding, make sure to verify the size of your bed so that you know you are buying the appropriate size, whether it be full size, king or queen bedding. It is not very fun to get home from the store, and realize that the bedding you bought is a size too small!

You can either buy bedding for your bed online or at a local retailer. If you can find what you are looking for locally, then you will not have to wait for it to be shipped, and you can also get a closer look at it to make sure that you like it. Ordering online might give you more of a selection though, as well as lower prices. There is a tradeoff either way, so the choice is yours.
